What rope r u using it on?

I've used the grillon and liked it once I got use to letting out slack when weighted.
Haven't used it in a while cuase it needs a replacement rope.
Can't remember getting sap on it so can't speak to pitch issues.
I know that I did like it instead of using a hitch while I had it in use.

Nope, unless you have a gorilla grip.

That's one thing you can do with the Grillon.
It can be released one handed when loaded.

Ya I've toyed around with using a hitch in front of the petzl microcender, or their bridge adjuster...so I could slack out one handed but it always feels like I should just use either the hitch or mechanical by itself.
