Quitting Yellow Pages?!

The best advertissment investment I made 4 years ago was quitting the Yellow Pages.

Best line of the thread!!

I'm very fortunate when it comes to yellow pages. I officially started my tree care biz last year and I already knew that in LA, yellow pages are already history. I got a few calls from them to get me to start an ad and I politely declined.

All my cients find me online. I don't do free estimates and about half don't even bat an eye at that and just go ahead and book the appt. With a good website and yelp presence, they can do all their homework on me and they are already convinced that I'm the right company of them. THAT is what advertising is all about.

In Los Angeles yellow page ads were EXTREMELY effective and I think my phone would ring all day long and as soon as people heard I don't come out for free all I would hear is *click.*

Another way to ask the question is, "who here still relies on the yellow pages when we are trying to find something?"
