I love a pear shaped quicklink with a Pinto pulley and I'm comfortable with what it provides, I know others may not.
This may be a fantastic solution. Kevin breaks new ground once again with the Slic Pin.

For those that wrestle with base and canopy anchors, using screw links, anchor rings, incorporating pulleys for pulling redirects, finding suitable mid-line attachable anchorage, even single up double down climbing or lanyard adjusters such as CELanyard style setups...........
...............this may be your rated solution.

I like the concept a lot. Not sure I would use it as a canopy anchor, unattended Slickpins scare me a little. Might change my mind after a while of testing but for anytime I can see and touch it regularly I think it is great.

I can't wait to get a few. Any idea of the price? I have lots of ideas for these.
Not cheap but a lot less then the cost of an opened or broken side-loaded carabiner. I'm not the one to ask either but I would estimate it to be at least twice the price of a biner. These, I believe, are of stainless steel so that jacks the price right away, same with a quick link.

always with caution, comes my enthusiasm :coffe:

I'm trying to think about previous discussions about these double slick pins. Are these not considered 3 action, similar to a biner?

edit: damn autocorrect

I use a clove hitch to the quickie. Its important to make sure the slic is oriented away from the tree for the girth. In

Ordered mine tonight. Already have a tracking number. Clove hitch. Gonna have to try it. It'll be a challenge always making sure the pin is oriented rite while setting a tip 100' up. I'm sure I'll come up with a system. Can't wait!

In the configuration where you have two eyes in the pinto, I would be concerned that the slick pin would snag fiber. Cool design, I want a slightly larger one (for optimal bend radius) to replace a steel biner when I'm choking my TIP on a spar.
