Quick ?

Just bought a singing tree quickie and noticed the shape is slightly crooked for lack of a better word. Is this to aid in proper orientation when it is loaded in a cinched canopy or base anchor?

When I hold it by the bow, one of the eyes appears higher than the other. Everything else looks perfect and unused. So it looks like its like this on purpose. It just brothers me that its not perfectly symmetric.

I notice the photos on the TS site make the cast look crooked, but you're saying the legs are different lengths? I'll have to look at mine.

Well, I doubt that was done on purpose, but what do I know? I'd still feel comfortable climbing on it.

Nobody else has noticed this with their cast versions??? I feel fine on it too. I just wondered if there was any thoughts behind it and if it was normal. Suprised nobody else noticed it or that Kevin didn't do it with some purpose in mind...

When I put the slic pin in it the pin looks crooked. But when examined the slic pin is perfectly straight

I've noticed it as well on the 3 I purchased about 2 months ago. I originally thought I tweaked it until I looked at all 3 of them together. You can see the top of the slik pin does not sit flush.

Milled is a lot more. But also the only one I will climb on
I went out and looked after it stopped pouring and took a gander at mine, definetly milled and stamped with a rating.. I can't revive myself from the mindf#$% of climbing on unmarked climbing gear. So I just dont do it...

This is just my guess as a machinist.

They cast it, casting is not perfect. Then they put it in a fixture and machine the holes to tolerance / alignment. How those holes line up in reference to faces or if the faces are not parallel / square. Doesn't really matter to the function or strength, to a reasonable extent.

I'd climb on a cast one.

So does anybody got a cast quickie that is symmetrical? It really surprises be that nobody noticed this... Not even vendors. But as long as nobody gets hurt and they've performed well in testing
