I think the floating bridge tether must act as sort of an MA, actually advancing you faster than if the tethers were static.

Pretty cool, but is it safe to use? Suppose one ascender opens at the wrong time, then what?

Re: promo video for the world\'s fastest rope climbing

It's pure leg power with each arm as slack tender. One to one raw vertical power. Like a two foot high stair stepping machine.

It'll never match the pole gaff speed record though.

Great way to climb a rope though. The best I've seen to date.

Only good for reaching a tip of course, rather like a poor boy's wraptor.

I hope he has a good patent attorney, and product liability insurance!

Re: promo video for the world\'s fastest rope climbing

The only thing I am wondering about is if you are to take an unexpected fall while standing in the system, or while standing up onto a branch? Toother ascenders are not made for falls such as these. Each ascender in that video is a half point of attachment. So one of them is ment to be always without slack in the system. But hey it does look cool.

Re: promo video for the world\'s fastest rope climbing

are you sure it is all leg power ? it looks like you could use your arms and legs in sync . like on a bike that you have shoes connected to the pedals you are peddeling in a circle not a square . one leg pushing down the other pulling up in sync . in this case one arm and one leg pulling down and the other leg and arm pulling up .

A split tail and micro pulley can, and probably will be added to the retail package, making it. ANSI compliant.
