Pin Oak removal w/ rigging hub

Great work. I wouldn't mind knowing more about the rigging set up if you don't mind. The lifts of the branches over the house were super clean, I would love to to learn that technique.

We used two GRCSs powered by a Milwaukee Super Hawg at the base of the Oak. The orange line did the primary lifting/pretensioning, and the black line was used to haul each piece away from the garage and into the clear landing zone. On the back side of the tree (later part of the video where there is some actual video) there was a white line through a ring/ring style device that limited crazy swings into the primary line.

Does that help? Or maybe opens up more questions...

fine rigging on that tree... LOVE to see those pieces standing up before sliding away! Well worth documenting..
thanks for taking the time to make the vid!

Thanks! I wish I had the camera set to take more frequent pictures so the lifts would be more evident, but I was more focused on the tree than the video at that point!

That's usually the way it goes... when it gets intense the video camera becomes a dangerous distraction.... I have missed some great great shots when the camcorder was just sitting in the back seat of the truck... and never bothered breaking it out
