If the fuel filter isn't brand new Yank it and cut it open if the element is black more than 1/4 of the way up have it put on a computer to check the balance rates for the injectors( 20$ at my local guy and he felt bad about taking it ) .... I had to do injectors in mine when I bought it but other than that it's been worked hard and hasent let me down yet 30k miles from me so far ..... if I has the Allison don't forget it has a external and internal filter if it has the 6 speed I'm sorry ...... good tranny but the clutch can be a real nightmare. I really should put a chip box on mine and stop plowing snow with it but it pushes such a stupid amount of snow I don't know if I could go back to a 1/2 ton. Oh and watch the hydro formed section of the frame up front some of them want to crack especially if they were ever a plow truck and or rot from the inside out

My starter kit .... its all older than me it has its issues but I'm sorting them out as I go ..... so far I've cleaned a swamp out of a dirty old rottenchester carb new plugs / wires fab a trailer hitch fixed fixed a half-assed frame repair and built the chip box onto the dump. repaired a half dozen holes in the box floor .... the chipper got all new ignition and a 4 section bonded belt instead of the individuals belts that where on it. Thousand dollar dump and a thousand dollar chipper I couldn't quit my day job and rely on it but it's working great for me right now

Nice. Had a 90 f150 on 40's about 4 trucks ago. 12" front 14" rear lift, locked front and rear w/ 4.88's. Wasn't car seat friendly at all

and put some additional tool boxes in back
I love having small separate boxes like that in the back. Put the gas, oil & grease in those and keep that messy stink away from all of the ropes and climbing gear. Or keep it tool free and clean and use it for the first aid kit, dry clothes, extra new PPE, etc.

Why the extension on the chipper tongue? Or does it see more than one truck on occasion?
Great question. I purchased an extension to make it better for use with our bucket truck. The chute is at risk of being hit. Given the angle the chute is in it can hit the box of the truck.
An unexpected benefit is I can grab this part of the tongue with my gehl's bmg and position or drive around the chipper.
