Petzl Visor Question?

...should be worn pretty much from when you get out of the truck till you get back in to go home...

That's what I do. Took awhile to get into the habit, but it's automatic now.

do you know of any visors that meets this standard?

The Petzl ones as well as the Kask. The Z87 marking should be along the edge. Not sure if there are others.

Dude don't get a visor, for me those are the same as people who climb around with the saw hanging at the end of their lanyard like some weird ass chainsaw anchor. Most of the guys I know just put it down when they are cutting, which leaves them open to a poke in the eye most of the time. I think they are basically just helmet bling.

I tend to agree. My judgement is they are at best an accessory to a comfortable set of rated safety glasses.

Of course there are people who use it properly ALL the time. More power
