Petzl I'D

monkeylove

Been here much more than a while
Location
Roslyn, Pa.
I just ordered 1 from Benmeadows.com with this coupon code BF38001. Out the dooe to my house for under $220. Large or small same price.

No problem. Always a pleasure to help.

OT:
Yesterday I read somewhere, that you are a recreational climber and amateur-arborist on your own property. That 's what I am too. I am alwasy trying to learn and get better by reading, watching videos and of course training. I will never be a pro, but there's no need to end as a joe.

Which way do you plan to use the ID, at the base or in the tree? I am actually using a rig in trees. My favorate buy would be a hitch hiker (I don 't care about CE). But I have to wait.

Best regards from Germany

Uwe

I am using it as part of my base anchor system 90% of the time. The rest of the time it is on my harness and used for positioning or belaying others.

If you watch baileysonline they sometimes have the Rig on sale, I paid 105.00 for it after a sale sometime ago, the regular price then was 170.00, now about 180. (discount from bailey then 50% more when purchased from Sherrilltree.)
The difference between the I'd and the Rig (besides money) is just the panic portion of the control arm, IMO useful for beginning or seldom climbers and if it will only be used as a basel anchor or belay, not needed at all.

The I'D is also rated for heavier loads. 250 kg as opposed to the rig 200 kg

Useful if you have any aerial rescue intentions!
