I've been participating in the buzz for a while now on an anonymous basis. I have to say that the discussions here have really elevated my knowledge and awareness in the Arboriculture industry. Thanks for that.

It's time for me to come out of the closet (not in the gay sense) and introduce myself, mainly so people don't address me by my stupid screen name "nuthin_special". I really need to change that handle somehow.

Vince, way to step up, and personally I like your posts and the name and the avatar, tho the polesaw hook looks more like a bottle opener from this view.

I woulda been creative like Tom Dunlap on the name, but you cant pronounce mine. meilleur = french for better, better tree care.

A number of years ago I went up to Thunder Bay after a week of backpacking on Isle Royale. There was a sauna run by a two Finnish sisters, or Scandinavian for sure. It was a nice way to end the trip. Is the business still operating?

Guy, in my head i do say your name in french. Not sure how you would pronounce meilleur in english anyway.

Tom are you talking about Kanga's Sauna? (http://kangassauna.ca/) It's still here and open for bidness. The sauna is one of our cultural icons here, lots of Finns in the area. I use mine almost every day even though i'm not a Finn.

Thanks for pointing that out tom! now that's all i'm going to see when i look at that little figurine that is my avatar.

I helped a friend, he's from Norwegian stock, build a couple of saunas. Today would be a good day for a sauna...even here in Austin TX!

Thanks for that Vince. I like your pet peeve. I'm the same way.

When I started out on the Buzz I had the handle "Not-A-Hacker." I went with my real name not too long after. I sort of like the idea of getting to know other's names.

Only been to Thunder Bay once and just passing through. Wow is it ever pretty up there! Camped either side in Pakaskwa and Rushing River P.P. Stopped in Thunder Bay to rebuild an exploding camp stove. Must be cold this time of year!!

Hey all,
I guess I should introduce my self as well.
The stats:
Name: Quill Shiell
Business: Porcupine Arboriculture
I'm still a one man outfit at this point.
I grew up in the boreal forest, second gen tree planter/
silviculture worker.
I've been climbing for a few years, but I'm still learning.
One of these days I will come over to the SRT side of the force.
Some time soon Boreality is going to give me some lessons
on rigging. I almost got to work with him on Mike Babcocks
property but it fell through.

Anyway I've been learning lots from this forum, Thanks
for all the knowledge.
