Omni-blockPrototype

I have assembled a system of high teck gear.
The top is a rocker, attached to an ISC ascender. At the bottom of the ascender is a prototype Omni-block Rock Thompson (www.wrenindusties.com), made up for me and may very well put into production if the demand is there. So contact him if you want one.
The Omni-block is different in that unstead of a closed eye for the upper attachment point, it is now an open clevis.
The orange rope is a static 7/16" line I use to ascend with and the Blaze is my main climbing line. The hitch is HRC and the micro pulley is another Rock Thompson, Rock Exotica pulley used as a tender pulley.

What allota gear!

The Omni-Block has swivel built in , no? I've tried this technique, 1st without a swivel but that sucked, then w/a petzl swivel over 2.5" sheave pulley and that was better but seemed like too much hardware-ascender, biner, swivel, biner, pulley. I still had trouble keeping my ascending line out of the way, do you coil it up and leave it hang up high? When I simply footlock up, my access line and work line are usually separated by some distance whereas here they're essentially "crotched" in the same point leading to tangles. And how do make retrieval more efficient? It's one thing to save a few moments at my TIP but then it took a whole lotta thinking, manuevering, cursing to get the whole thing down. Maybe I just don't get it.
