Buy the time you sand down the oregon drum if it is deeper. Did you really save any money if your time is worth money. IDK.

Agree 100%, but the problem Phil is having is that he can't seem find the actual slimline drum anywhere. That's how this ended up at this point. That said, the Oregon part may actually be worth modifying, IF it doesn't just work right out of box.
