Oak tree ID 2 different leafs same tree

Hello I need some help IDing an oak tree.

It has what I think are two different leaves on the same branch(s)
The one on the left looks like swamp white to me But the 2 on the right look like something in the red oak family. Not possible to mix I know.

Any ideas?

Here are some of the branches with both leaves hanging there.

One of the common themes in id books on oaks is the variety of shapes the leaves on an individual oak can have. Makes identification really fun.

I won't try to second guess the informed opinions so far, but the discrepancy here between the lobed and pinned, IMHO, would be shade leaf vs sun leaf.

In the pictures showing the leaves on the tree you can see the rounder leaves still have the characteristic pinning. Sometimes, they are just harder to see.

By the way, does this tree have a root flare at all??

Yes it does. Is that significant?

and the inner bark has a yellow / orange appearance. If that helps

One other observation I've made is that at the very top of the tree there are mostly pointed leaves. At the bottom mostly rounded leaves. The mix is in the middle.

Yes, it could be. There is a significant void on the one side which could indicate damaged roots.

This bears out the sun leaf/shade leaf difference.
