Now Hiring - Green Bay, WI Arborist/Ground Support Person

Selner Tree & Shrub Care is growing and needs to add an Arborist Ground Support person or a Certified Arborist that is willing to work from the ground up. This is a year round position. Safety is our top priority and we are looking for someone that embraces it.

The Arborist Ground Support position requires:

· ISA Certified Arborist or a person that is able to be trained to become an ISA Certified Arborist.

· Experience in the tree industry is preferred but not required

· To be safety conscious in all aspects of tree work, allowing a smooth flow of productivity at the job-site

· Ability to drive and back up a large truck with trailer

· Have a driver's license with a clean driving record. Preference given to candidates who have a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement

· Possess a Pesticide Applicators license 3.0 or ability to obtain one in 3 months

· The ability and endurance for extended physically intense labor

· Prefer a 2 year degree in Urban Forestry or similar field

· Reliability and dedication year round

The duties are:

· Dragging brush

· Raking

· Loader and chipper operations

· Chainsaw operation from ground

· Run ropes, send equipment and supplies to climber

· Safe operation of all equipment

· Ability to use verbal commands and hand signals to communicate with the climber

· Ability to maintain a clean and safe work zone

· Must be aware of climber and their safety at all times

· Learning how to safely climb to properly prune or remove trees

· Ability to tie and learn specific uses for tree-industry knots

· Spatial awareness
