Not a rook, but opinions needed

Location

Took off DMM ring, and added pulley, ring open, and Nexus1.....
Gonna try it with the Runner along with Petzl Voltige and quickie tending....
Yay or Nay.....ready......GO.
I would just do a rook, but I don't have one, and I have this, so it's this for now.
If it works, I guess I need to start saving my milk money, and place an order at Treestuff.com .

Don't know if the pulley is rated or not, i'll check it before i climb tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

I don't know Steve .. way to much going on for the purpose it will serve imo.. I just run a swivel on my bridge,a Nd becuase I climb on bulldogg bones with swivel integrated into attachment, I usually just use the bottom part that runs on bridge and save the open top for my lanyard clip in on occasion. Unless they both on lines at same time and the swivel on bridge gets used . I do still rope wrench to this is when I use the swivel, but to be honest a ring would probably suit me fine. I think and maybe I'm wrong the swivel thing came into popularity when goin ddrt so as the lines wouldn't in theory twist up as bad , maybe I'm wrong on that. I do enjoy being able to turn my bone how I desire so the swivel is nice .. especially running two at once so they stay oreinted bit better ...to me.. everyone is different so good luck . If you take nothing else away from this post MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS RATED FOR LIFE SUPPORT.

The beauty of the nexus is being able to replace the shackles after wearing them out, which takes a significant amount of time anyway. Why not just put it on your bridge?
I was trying out the pulley on bridge option, and swivel,.....
Used a ring open to connect the two thinking it would be a larger attachment point for chesty and Saka.....which it is....just trial running before i drop the $$ on a Hydra/Rook.
Not sure about a Rook/Hydra or RE Omni 1.5......
Maybe i'll try to chase one down to borrow for a trial run before i commit.

Thanks King.

Be safe & have a great week.

I actually just took the open out and flipped nexus around so large shackle connected to pulley, now I'm gonna see how things attach to large shackle.

Steve

Why are you adding the pulley and ring?

What does it
Gain you?

I went away from a pulley very soon after using it. I found that a biner/screwlink/swivel eye slid nicely on my rope
Bridge and then still
Held the position rather than rolling. I liked the little
Bit of friction there to hold me in an off-center hip to hitch stance. Kind of like having opposing forces to stay in position

More than that a long chain of attachments put my hitch or multi-cender so far away. At times I want to
Suck every fraction of an inch out of my bridge to ascender attachment. For ascent and also when working really close to a TIP or redi

Steve, two thoughts-

First, do try a pulley set up and see if you like the roll. Like Tom, many don't like the missing friction. Personally I would go back to friction, but I like the three isolated holes on the rook too much, which brings up my second thought: if you want a more streamlined setup for doubled rope, dual systems, and using srt mechanicals in ddrt, you can't beat the rook.

I ran it today in my tree.....just like the picture....hitchclimber pulley and rope runner......no bueno.
THEN i switched around and put the large shackle on bridge, and ran htchclimber pulley and rope runner...NOPE.....
Tried to run same thing only with ring open on END of nexus....both nada......
Basically i tried just about every combo with all the stuff in the pic with both hitch climber pulley and rope runner, and i think I'm gonna try and find a HH or wrench to try.....what i SHOULD do is find a bulletproof mechanical to rock.
DDRT & SRT
Thanks for all your suggestions guys. I appreciate it all.
Have a great week
