you are right about the blaze it does have a poly core, but the velocity does have a nylon core

can you believe how much pressure it takes to make that final bury on the PI? i have heard that it takes 2000# to make the final bury, but that could be wrong... what i do know is, i don't want to splice any more of it. i will do 10 fly splices before i do 1 of PI!

Maybe you are thinking of the "MAX" (Machine Assisted XTC) splice that is only done on XTC lines. PI is done by hand.

Blaze is more do-able than PI. Still tough though, especially if you're comparing it to something like Sta-Set.

no kidding,

my first splices were on 5/8" tenex.... if all ropes were that easy, i would be able to spend a lot more time with my family /forum/images/graemlins/driving.gif
