New truck for me. 2011 F350 Landscape Dump

I think technically it might be a grain dump. The back has an upper set of door, and the lower half opens up or down. It also has a grain/coal door. I think it is a Dejana, it has been painted but I will take a look in the morning.

6.2 Gasser, $29,5. I will probably put tires on it before winter just so I know that they are fresh. Could use some a couple hammer taps and some tweaks on the dump but that is to be expected. Took me a while to find a 350, just couldn't justify 40-50 for anything bigger.

Congrats frank. Nice truck. They are very tough to find because for 6 or 7 years everyone was buying the diesel and those turned out to be like rolling dice at the casino. You could get a winner or you could roll snake eyes.
Now you just gotta buy my 10" chipper and presto you will have a tree crew . Only warning; that is a huge body for the 350. Be careful when loading you can easily go overboard. and get a pair of not for hire magnets for driving down the road, and save 9 tons of DOT paperwork!

I will have to check out that not for hire thing. It actually was able to be insured as a non commercial vehicle based on the vin#. It does not need emissions so I have read since it is gas and over 11,000lbs. Correct me or point me somewhere if that is wrong. It has no emissions sticker on it and it just left the dealer lot yesterday. I also want to get a dry weight as is so I know what I have to work with from the 13 something on the door sticker from Ford.

That is interesting about no emissions, I didn't know that. I would imagine the dealer couldn't let it leave the lot without current inspection so it's probably true! I didn't realize until I had my 550 inspected that anything over 17k is required to be inspected twice a year in pa, you escaped that too :bananahappy::bailando: sounds like a good buy all around!

I didn't know about the 17k either. I am still investigating the no emissions thing, I find it hard to believe but can't find anything that pertains to vehicles over 9,000 lbs.

Talked to Dejana today, super nice people. She looked it up by the vin number and let me know it is a Knapheide body with a Rugby hoist (dump setup). Recommend fluid if needed is Dextron ATF, and reminded me to grease up the moving joints every so often. I love good customer service.

Nice truck, should be pretty useful for you. Let us know what that 6.2 does for fuel milage. I almost bought a pickup with a 6.2 in it last year.

I am on the first tank this week, so when it gets down to half I will fill it up. I'm not waiting for "E", that is 40 gallons at once. Getting 6 new tires installed this afternoon, I knew it would need them by winter so I figured just do it now. This way I know they are good and when they went on the truck. It is amazing what passes inspection and what I consider a safe tire.

Got the 6 new tires I knew it needed yesterday, next is underbody storage. What brand are you guys using and are you hanging them from the supports or turning the supports upside down putting the bolt heads on the bottom? Seems like a stronger setup to me.

I'm hoping to add 2 additional under body boxes mounted to the chip box this winter. Both will be white painted steel so they match the truck. I intend on dividing the boxes up so the contents doesn't move around when dumping. I only intend on putting gas/oil and rope bags though, it wouldn't work for saws.
