New Tribe yellow jacket

I received my used harness from Zev and it fits me well. It is quite comfortable as long as I wear it low on my hips and shorten the leg supports which are adjustable. It is safer than my bosun seat for sure. It is very compact to stow and light. I will have to keep an eye on the triangular screw link at the harness attach point, but I can attach my pulley rack directly to the link. I was playing with the harness and rack and had to leave to pick up my daughter and it was no problem to sit in the car and ride with it on, almost forgot it was on (except the safety yellow glow).

I should be getting one UPS tomorrow or the next day. Been wanting to try it out as a lightweight backpacking tree harness. Don't worry about the delta screwlink, it's double threaded and I believe is 10,000 lb rated in every direction. At any rate way stronger than actually needed. I just finger snug my harness screwlink on my NT Tengu harness. For the Yellow jacket I'll swap out the delta for a pear shaped link so I can fit more stuff on it.

As far as the legstraps go, different design paradigm than the standard arb harness design. I adjust the back adjusting strap so the bottom of the leg pad is behind the middle of my knee when I'm standing on the ground without a rope attached, NT leg straps shouldn't be a high tight fit the way you'd expect with a rock or arb harness. If the leg pads are adjusted too high the straps will dig into a very tender location when you're sitting on rope.

That is a good tip about the legs straps. You will like the stowability. It came in box approx. 1/8 of a cubic foot.

Glad you like it, Gordon! I found it to be extremely comfortable, but, coming from a Treemotion, the lack of adjustability in the leg/back pad balance did not work well for me. Second NT saddle I tried. It may be stealth, but I'm sure you would get some looks stepping into a parking lot with it on...

That cheeseballs review was very helpful and is what made me want to get one many months ago. Now if only that fellow would make a video of the rope nut in action.
