New to the buzz

Hey, Brendon! Yeah, I suck, you made your point! LOL. Really nice run through the tree, there. How're you liking your Rope Runner? It seems like it runs really smoothly for you. I liked the high-speed drop at the end.

Tim
If you had only seen the hour of practice figuring out and perfecting that run.... lol. I have some "not so graceful" moments on my gopro somewhere. Like slapping the side of the second branch with my rib cage while being tangled in the water sprouts. That's also at my house soon have a lot of time in that tree picking perfect TIP and bell placement.

My RR is broken in just right. Not too tight, not too loose. Hated it at first. Would creep a lot and not very smooth. A dozen quick rips out of a tall tree did the trick. Now I LOVE it.

Holy shit, dude! Identical to the first pair of Oakleys I ever bought! Musta' been '87 or '88, still have them hanging around here. I paid so damn much for them I can't bear to part with them, even though I haven't worn them in 20+ years. Never thought about using them for climbing goggles, might have to give that a try.

Oh, and welcome to the Buzz! Now that you've met all the dregs, I'll tell you there are actually some really nice guys on here.

Welcome Brendon.
Style and humility! You're gonna fit right in.
"Perfect" and pompous climbers are so boring. I like the guys that brag about how much they've messed up.

One time I slipped on a limb walk I had too steep of a rope angle on and caught deadwood right in the cornhole on the swing back. To ad injury to injury my saw slapped me in the back of the head like the 3rd stooge.

I was thinking about buying some of these but they have no safety rating as far as I can tell. What are your thoughts on this?
All true Oakley lenses meet or exceed ansi standards for impact resistance and UV resistance -that being said the only ones our company allows you to wear are the M frames because they are stamped

I know they're not rated, but they do an AMAZING job of keeping sawdust out of your eyes. It's like goggles without the hassle. And better than a face shield. I'm constantly getting crap in my eyes with my rated glasses, but not with the Oakley's. I guess it's a trade off.
