when you start using it, you will answer your own question. you will see it makes no sense to try to include a pulley. It is not a dumb question, you just have to use it and then you will see.

Im not following you. Why not include a pulley? Or am I just misreading?

Sj and pulleysaver, I can nearly ascend one handed hanging in free air. I know you run one too, just confused by your comment.

I was dumb, I thought he wrote hitch climber pulley. I was thinking he wanted a pulley under the spider jack or something.

Yes, a pulley friction saver at tie in point is great!
I was not thinking right. Stupid, how I got it wrong.

Putting in an order and I'm thinking of buying my first spiderjack, any suggestions? All these mods can be bought and put on after right? is there a new version coming out soon? going to be buying in the States and soon.

Yep, they can all be added after. The "new" version is just the same SJ2 with those 2 mods. There may be another replaceable pin but I'm not 100% sure. There's no eta when it will arrive in the states.

Got my 'Spiderjack 2.1' today from honey bros... PSYCHED!! played with it a little inside, it is very intuitive and easy to use. Only left my treestuff bros behind so I could get the dyneema upgrade from the uk (sorry Luke). For the SJ, dyneema upgrade kit, longer lever, and two clutches it was only 356 bones including shipping, cheaper than a SJ alone here in the states.

No apologies necessary. Mods looks SWEET. I've forwarded several people to HB for this sucker.

You all know that if it was up to me we would have this stuff in the US and not have to wait until next year... effing politics! :)

Put in my order but they say that they are temp out of stock. Hope I don't get screwed on the duty..Time to bust out the Imori.. finally.

Adam THX for the measurements.
Here is the first one made on U.S. soil

I made one out of tubular aluminum last week. Looks like garbage. Fit and finish needs to be rough at best, works all the same. Been running the sling mod for months now, so much nicer!

Been running the sling for a while now too, as you can see by the fuzz and tired rubber band. I have a pine to remove tomorrow so I will get to try the new part with a ring and ring friction saver choked on the spar. should hold up better than the velcro one!
