New method, not recomended

Remember the thread about bold climbers, well there he is. Kickn' it old school. A friend of mine went to Costa Rica and saw some dudes doing a similar thing except thay were using an axe. Dave, if your a*s is that big you'd better start dragging brush again and give the keys to the mini to someone else!That avatar made my wife laugh, thanks.

I like it! that guys got style!

I saw some hillbillies in southern VA today lowering a 30ft 12inch diam white oak limb using a 70s cadillac. rope over a crotch and reversing back to lower the branch, only the rope wasnt long enough so they just cut the rope and let the branch fall on the cadillac. They seemed very happy about what they had done!
 
I think he is attached to his crap stained undies. Now that's the worst wedgee I have ever seen. And you wonder why the ansi and cfr is so blatent sometimes. Lot of Idiots out there, that have kids and the gene pool just gets more polluted. Sorry a mini rant there!
 
If that full body harness is truly rated as fall protection then he seems to be supported correctly. That is the same position that he would be in if he fell...not too unsafe to be hoisted into a tree...silly, but how unsafe?

Would I condone this method...heck no! But he is in a better setup than the guy with the ladder and lashed scaffolding who has no harness at all.
