New "Floating D" Converter from Petzl!!

Re: New \"Floating D\" Converter from Petzl!!

Jim

That saddle from Bashlin is the second generation of Saddle X.

How do you like the backpad? The one on the first gen was a bit too large. It was comfy when leaning back while standing. But for moving around the pad didn't give a lot of support unless the climbing line was coming at me in the "just right" direction. The front support system on X was very clever. It actually was a new way of supporting the climber.

It looks like there are some good improvements on the saddle.

CAn you post some pics with a climber in the saddle in a working position?

Tom, I like the support of the backpad. That's the main reason I got the saddle. My other saddle was causing me to get lower back pain/discomfort.

I'll try to post some pics over the weekend.

rborist1, nice setups. In the second picture, did you put that together yourself?

I saw on both the use of screw links. I thought that was against ANSI standards.

The second picture is the Sidestraps for the Vario saddle?
And it was made by Petzl with the screwlinks? The bridge is also from Petzl?--looks like a quickdraw, is it?
Where did you buy such a different setup in the 2nd pic.?
Thanks.
Charlie.
