McCabe definitely would have made masters.... Mac I think you should know the difference between 16th and 15th place was less than a point. I'd blame that on your rib muscle thing....now I'm not sure who slid into the 15 slot... good to see ya again man! Keep us posted on your ribs, curious what the pro's say. Feel better soon bro!

One thing I would have loved to see in person, was your son at the kids climb!!!! "What is this, doubled rope?" "No foot ascender, chest harness,.. Bone?" Got a kick out of that!!!

Nice job Mac! How'd you hurt yourself?
Out at the end of the limb walk. I was in a crouch, all scrunched up, right knee to my chest. Reached forward with my left hand to pull my lanyard around the branch while I let out slack with my right. But it was a fast hard pull, and something popped on my right side.

Hurt pretty good, but then in the footlock, the harness was too loose, so when I went on belay the thing rode up to my ribs and crushed em. I almost passed out. Awful. Broken ribs must really suck.

They do. I've had several. Check it out.
If it is a compound fracture, you could puncture a lung.
Good Luck !

Every time I visit New England I'm amaze by your trees , I'm really jealous . It was fun to watch you guys and girls climb , in this beautiful site . First time I saw a purple beech , and I would have love to climb this giant Platanus. You got a nice chapter with good climbers and in my opinion McCabe work climb was really strong , shit happen. Props to you Macswan to wrench the work climb. Good master too.
