New ART Rope Guide Primus Question

Hey all,

Has anyone seen/used the new Rope Guide Primus first hand?

Just need to confirm that the shackle on the tether releases the adjuster, sliding it down the rope, when retrieving, rather than staying position & just popping the pulley out of the splice.

Please help!

if you mean the webbing loop runner, yes.

the loopie works better than anything else ive tried, the stitching flips the cocoon up and through the soft eye. i seriously cannot get this one stuck!!

Yes the tether releases the adjuster and it slides down the rope if necessary.

Do you just tie a regular hitch with the loop runner?

now what is the best way to attach the loop runner to the cocoon pulley? is it girth hitched or just looped on?

its just looped around the enclosed pin. you then need to fit either the ART cone thing so that itll retrieve -if you dont, the spliced or ring just hits the top of the cocoon and it wont pull through.if you havent got the ART cone you can just use a cone shaped bit of plastic and then liberal amounts of tape to make it all smooth. hope that helps bro.

If you mean the retrieval shackle, any sailing/yacht shop will have them for only a few bucks.
