Relieved to know I'm not cutting it down, customer just curious, for now! She's one of those who is just getting rid of each tree, one at a time, few years in between. She's not aware of this trait, I'm pretty sure.
Good call on the Parrottia. We have a client on Cape Cod with one and it is a great tree. The bark looks like a Kousa Dogwood and the leaves resemble Beech. Great Tree, low maintenance.
