Nano Swivel on Bulldog Bone??

I see a few guys use the nano on the Bulldog bone. Definitely a nice fit together. I would love to put one on my BDB. However, being a big guy I am questioning the strength of the Nano under working conditions? I could just put a larger swivel on my bridge but like the nano setup. With gear I would say im pushing 265#

I'm not your size but I think the thing is rated enough isn't it?

Yesterday the boss was so up my arse. I was setting in a large poplar next to a gum I was removing so I could go rite to pruning the poplar. Got up in the gum and didn't like what I saw so I tried to change my tie in and failed. So he freaked because I came down to reset. He just wants me in the air. It didn't matter if I'm being productive or not. Just background

So I said screw it and ddrt with the bone. Like the zigzag much more for ddrt but it was efficient and effective. What I will say is with the nano it kept the bone orientation in a bad spot. The elbow of the top arm was against the anchor end of the rope on my bridge. I use two rings. Also the sewn splice was in position so in the rite series of events the splice would disengage the top arm of the bdb resulting in all my weight on the bottom Friction link alone.

I think if someone climbs ddrt with the bone, stay away from the swivel mod.

I was hot to do this mod before I got my BDB but after I had been using it for a while, not so much. Between the bridge ring, carabiner and the teardrop hole, there is plenty of freedom for keeping the bone wherever it needs to be. I would like to hear what the Nano fails at with a side load. Most swivels are weak when side loaded and this could happen during a slip/fall. I'll pass.

I did the mod and seem to like it. Also don't plan on falling. Lol. Sometimes when I'm climbing an adjacent lead level with my tip I find the bone orientation to be with the arms parallel to the ground instead of vertical. Like the bone is on its side. It makes it very difficult to advance or to get slack in my line. That's why I did it, to keep the bdb oriented as it's designed. Nano seems to alleviate that for me.

I have had the same issue working Ddrt with the bone.

I was thinking that the Petzl paw (or some other design) on your bridge would work well in keeping the lines separate when climbing Ddrt with the Bone. The nano mod gives you this option as well.
