I ordered a bag o rope from TreeStuff hoping to score a decent shorter than average rope for my fiance. The sent me about 100' of this. It is 11mm and feels kinda dry. I climbed on it today in two small locusts but couldnt get a good feel for it. Any one know what this is? I need a new 200 footer and this may be it. Thanks.

Holy Smokes!!! I looked at all the climbing lines that they had and couldnt find it. I didnt think to look at the static lines. Thanks!! Im glad I asked before I tried it out on something other than springy locusts. Now the question is what do I do with 100 ft of static line????

Get a piece of accessory cord for retrieval and use it for shorter jobs. I hear it's great line

I am already thinking Christmas lights so it would make a good rap line.
Or better yet, I have a customer who owns a painting company and wants me to rap and paint a section that he would have to rent a lift for.
It might make a good lil short speed line......

It's static relative to dynamic rock climbing lines... look at that elongation. About the same as a lot of double-braid climbing lines, and some 16-strand ones. If you like the feel of it, climb on it! :)

Yeah, it's nice rope. I have a hank of the KM MAX which I also like. That one's only about 11.2mm but I use it for SRT so it's all good. Picked up a Superscender so I don't have to hand-over-hand on it anymore (thanks, Steve!) and the KM ropes don't seem to suffer much from toothed ascenders.
