My New K-Boom

Heres some photos from a job last week, the job was to drag out a fallen Manitoba Maple(Boxelder) using our mini excavator and load it into the kboom using the grapple.

Unfortunatly when the salesperson measured the gate for access she forgot to measure the eve ot the garage but luckily the kboom was right there anyway to lift it over.

Man I was ticked off today that I forgot my camera, my dad got our larger excavator down in a hole it didn't want to climb out of even with the help of its own boom pushing it out, so I backed up to him to tow it out and he says no were going to lift it out, I figure noway but I setup anyway.

He hooks a sling onto the roll cage of it I tighten up on it and while he was tracking out I put more pressure on it and all of a sudden I realize I've lifted this 8 ton excavator right up into the air

Made it real easy to get out of the hole

Holy crap! I guess you were ticked off about not having a camera. We sure would have liked to see vid or even stills of that. Bet your dad was happy though!
