finished and now cleaning up + removal two cherry trees.
Took me more time as expected to do that Acer. We had rain for an hour and reasonable wind so getting up those limbs became a hard slippery job. So what would a time estimate be for this tree for you guys?
you say 2.4 hours or 2 till 4 hours It took me 5 hours to climb (incl. coffee break) and an hour to remove the 2 cherry's and final clean-up. i was there alone and one groundie. at all we took away 1306 Kg chipped wood. I think that the rain and strong wind hold me back for 1-1½ hour.
OK so I was an hour off, 3.5 minus 2.4. Can't judge the extra time needed to lower vs. just drop limbs. I've never seen a silver maple in the US look that good.
It was just drop those twigs (ø 0-5 cm). if they didnt get struck lower in the tree. on the house/horse chestnut side i shortened some limbs back. biggest cut was about ø 10cm on 25 year old wood. Also for here its a very nice tree with a good build crown. Only one minor or eventually a major problem. In the past three limbs were cut at the main trunk and there rotting in. very good reaction growth and enough good wood. but in future its gonna need to be checked reguarly. About that time it just depents on the climber i quess.... im not that fast as climbing ist just a part of the job.
Those where dumped at the composting site here. Because it was full off leaves and some chipped thorn bushes we wont deliver them at homeowners. The3y get weighed because we have to pay to get rid of company waste....
we have to pay €34,- / 1000kg to dump compostable stuff.... so we calculate that also For large amount off chips (vermeer BC2000 chipper) we get them loaded for energy plants and good quality sometimes goes to a timber-board factory or so. then they pay a minor fee to collect the chips.
