Ya gotta give a couple of these "American's" a break - they grew-up thinking John Wayne led the Green Beret's in Vietnam to a broadscale victory and democracy flourished forevermore and now "we're" marching on to spread it to the rest of the world under God's blessings.

Ted Bundy didn't think he was guilty of anything either.

The IRA is the obvious example. But there have been other Christian terrorists.

In Lebanon, Hezbollah mounted a campaign against American, French and Israeli targets between 1982 and 1986 that incuded forty-one attacks (including the attack in 1983 which killed over a hundred Marines and resulted in the withdrawal of American forces by Reagan).

Of these, only eight were committed by Islamic fundamentalists, twenty-seven by members of secular leftist political groups such as the Lebanese Communist Party, and three by Christians. All the people were born in Lebanon, but otherwise they were very different - one of the Christian suicide bombers was a teacher with a college degree, for example.
