Grover, the issue of women is interesting to me. Look closely at how women are treated in our advanced Western cultures, more and more so they are treated like sex objects. Young girls in america are almost encouraged to become strippers and sluts. That is what our society promotes really. To me, modern western culture treats its women pretty degradingly and more and more so all the time. Modern western culture places no importance on family, on community, or on virtue. Traditional islam and christianity have more in common than christianity and pop culture in america in my opinion. It amazes me that they are so caught up in fighting eachother that they dont realize that they believe in essentially the same thing and should stand together against COporate thieves, the consumerist economy, the pornification of society, the loss of control of our food, the destruction of culture, video games, bottled water, weapons....etc.

I've heard of Christians who drink and beat their wives and kids but I've never heard of a Christian strapping a bomb around their kid and sending him on a bus ride.

Are you more comfortable on an airplane sitting next to someone reading the bible or the koran?

Call me a muslim bigot, I don't care. Those sand munchers have impacted my life considerably and I stand by my prejudices.

If you don't like my thinking, thats fine. I really don't care what you think.

Yo babberney,
I would agree that it is very dangerous to lump all people of a specific group together based on the fact that some lunitic fringe is behaving despicably. ie all Christians are hippocrates because My neighbor Joe goes to church and beats his wife.However I think it is equally scary ,in the name of TOLERANCE to ignore the fact that there is a radical faction of islam THat hate us and our freedom and want to blow up women and children.
