A sweet machine Seamus, I have the Gehl al-20 which is basically the same only a bit smaller. A big step up from the mini-skid IMO. They lift more, lift higher and get you there quicker.

Any idea what the ground speed is?

Speed is just over 8 miles an hour. We love this machine but we use the Swinger 90% of the time and the multi trac just doesn't go out enough to keep it. I agree a mini skid can't touch the Multi Trac, articulating loaders are so easy on the turf and it can pick almost double what most mini's can.

One of the companies that hires me has a DT40, great machine. I am always amazed at what we can pick up and move without making ruts in the lawn. Fast, light weight, and good lift capacity for its size.

Oh yeah, I've seen the 30 that Seamus is selling. Well cared for and in good shape!

I think the max lifting capacity is actually more than 1100 on that machine. 1100 may be the "operating lift capacity". Max lift is more like 2200lbs.

My mistake, you are exactly right and it can acually pull a heck of a lot more then that. We keep choker cables on hand for dragging more brush then the machine can pick up. I was searching for more info and found this website, these guys can't get enough of their Multi Trac 30. They have a whole page on their website about what it can pick up, check it out.

Re: Multi Trac articulated loader

close up of the weld on exaust. there is a small crack that has not been welded, this hasn't changed since we bought the machine, but I'm happy to weld it if it bothers someone interested.
