Mulch Bucket for Mini

Does anyone know where to get a large capacity mulch bucket with a mini-skid adapter plate. This is about the best option I can find. It claims 7 cubic feet of capacity, which would be an improvement over the dirt bucket I have right now, but I'd prefer something with a little bit more capacity.

Thanks for you help!

I would think that for the $500 that one costs, you could have a welding shop make one of about any size. The mounting plates are pretty simple.

"Lumberjack" here (Carl) got me a couple of Blue Diamond grapple type buckets and had them made up to fit my needs. It just takes a bit longer to wait for it to go through the build cycle as opposed to having an off the shelf item ship right out.

Blue Diamond's quality and attention to detail is superb.

I've got a mulch bucket for my dingo. It's definitely got more capacity than a comparable dirt bucket, however it's right at 48" in width, so it's a challenge to squeeze it through a four foot wide stockade fence gate. When I last encountered that scenario, I had to buy the gate a bouquet of flowers, take it out to dinner and then be very careful to lift the bucket so that it cleared all the gate and latch hardware, without hitting the hinges, squeezing it ever so gently through the gate... and then stop for a smoke after clearing it.:bananahappy: All things considered, I'd have gotten more done, and more quickly using a smaller dirt bucket.

I'm using the mulch bucket for now, because it came with the machine, but I can tell that somewhere down the line I'll be getting a smaller bucket to expedite material through narrow high gates.

I bought a Snow & litter bucket made by CID inc From Mark Supply in PA. It is 48" wide 22" deep and 19" tall. If my calculations are correct that equals 11.6 cu ft per bucket leveled off. It is definitely considerably larger than my dirt bucket. When loaded with firewood it is at the limit of my Thomas 25G, mulch well under but dirt and stone well over. It ran me $460 plus shipping (which was better than expected). I have been happy with it to date for mulch, rakings, and snow. PM me if you need Marks supplies contact info.
I also contemplated getting a welder friend to put one together for me. After his time, quality materials and getting it all to come together it was cheaper and easier just to order it, and I'm glad I did.

Squirrel, I think the SAE struck capacity for your bucket will be somewhere around 5.9 cu ft. My Toro bucket is 48"x26"x18" and has a SAE struck capacity of 6.4 cu ft. Here's a link to the mfg page for my bucket with their measurements. https://www.toro.com/en/rental/compact-utility-attachments/light-materials-bucket-22410 Buckets like that are more akin to triangular prisms in shape, than rectangular prisms, so you have to calculate LxWxH and then divide by 2.

Sounds like the 7 cu ft. size might me a reasonable cutoff for bucket size (i.e. not crazy big or oddly shaped). I had an attachment custom made by a welder last year; I don't think they would be competitive on price for a bucket.

Thanks for the referral, Merle!

I have mulch buckets available through Blue Diamond ranging from 9.75-16.25 cu ft costing ~$500-700 plus shipping.
