Merle Nelson's thread about inventions and recognition triggered me to post this. ive been grateful for the Buzz since ive been on here and wanted to thank everyone on here and even those who have seemed to leave since ive first checked out the site.
i finished an arboriculture program at a university, went back to working full time, and lost sight of my aspirations.
TreeBuzz and its members have set the bar for me as far as what i strive to be as a climber and an arborist. it has opened my mind to a lot of different work practices which i use almost daily.
If it weren't for the buzz, who knows. i may still be working at a landscape company, climbing my roughed up climbing line, and not wearing my hard hat when no ones around.

To the people that make this run, we all appreciate your work, as it helps us all immensely.
To all the fellow buzzers, keep sheddin' knowledge, some of us are soaking it aaalll in.

I have to agree! (this is my first post) coming from someone who has only read this site almost daily since TCIA Hartford(2011) the wealth of information and tips are incredible. I'm a 22 yr old arborist out of western Mass and reading this site has changed the way i climb, work, and my overall attitude towards the industry. Basically thanks to everyone who has put out information, things that worked, things that didnt. It is greatly appreciated and i look forward to joining in on many many future conversations. Thanks again, and HEY!

After almost 40 years doing this, I still learn new tricks. This forum and any TCC, conference and trade show is an investment in your career and worth every penny spent to be there. Some of the best learning opportunities occur after the scheduled program. Always keep an open mind and try new methods and techniques.

Kleran welcome!!! Great of you to jump in here(on this thread). I look at how many more people are visiting the site as opposed to how many are registered at the Buzz. It’s a credit to Tom and Mark and all who have contributed so much.

What's up, Kieran? Welcome! Glad to see you here.

The Buzz has been a great way for me to learn and share, but more importantly, a place through which I can meet and keep in touch with other like minded tree people.

High 5, tree brothers and sisters. High 5!

Hey Tom! it was good to see you in RI a little while back hope all is well and work is busy. maybe ill catch ya at NE Grows? Thanks for the welcome!

Oceans: glad to be here! posting now, been on the sidelines for awhile now picking up an immense amount of knowledge! Im gonna try to catch that rec climb in CT in January also. High 5 right back at ya thanks for all the SRT tips:)

It's an island of calm sanity (most of the time) in a sea of chaos.

I've really enjoyed the high level of professionalism here. Compared to what is happening on the streets around me here it gives me hope that there is, in fact, a profession and people who strive to make it better through sharing their experience and knowledge.

A huge thanks to Mark and Tom for founding this site and keeping it going.
