Mark,

You're the man!

Alright Eric, I have to come clean. I didn't know that tree. I went to my teacher-my brother Steve. He's "the man" to me when it comes to ID and such. It took him all of two seconds to ID on his way out the door yesterday morning and he knew the Latin too!

I tried to get him to come here and post some pics but he doesn't do computer stuff at all. I'll tell you, it's nice to have someone like that at work to go to for answers. He's frustrating to try to stump. I can't do it! /forum/images/graemlins/zbanghead.gif

mark,
It's funny you mention that about your brother. My brother is also the same, he is a bug freak. He has hundreds of insects(if not thousands) in rikers mounts. He has a collection of near 30 tarantula (live ones), and many other exotic bugs from around the world. Whenever I have a bug question he is the one to ask, like your bro, he'll spout out the answer in seconds, and in latin. He will even tell where the bug originated from, its main diet, lifecycle, so on and so on.

Try to get him near a computer-- it aint happening at all.

This is a new tree to me, at least for around these parts. Can't find my tree ident. guide. Any help out there. Leaves are saw toothed, about 3" long. Tree was approx 35' tall.

Mark,

That's to bad Steve won't post some picture's. I know he's a good photographer with lots of tree pictures. He would be a great addition to the site.

Thankyou Erik. I ran a google on the tree and by the pics and descrip it gave, i think you got it. Too weird though, I had never heard of one. Definitely hadn't seen one either. Oddest place to find it to; in the walmart parking lot.
Thanks for the help. :)
