more fun with knucklebooms

The crane has been busy every day & the R&R grapple is plucking stems on most jobs. The R&R has also been "R" for reliable, no issues or repairs needed.

Mike. What was the DBH on the Hackberry and Maple? 7.5'-8'?

When I get me a K.Boom like that, are you interested in training? Think of it like a working vacation in Colorado.

Only thing is, you may have to wait 20 years before I could do that.

I want one of those...

Hey, Mike I have been following your adventures for some time now and I am always amazed by how little or sometimes no dunnage you use. How do you do it? I can't believe with that large Butt that your rear outriggers didn't penetrate that driveway? Please explain. Also what is the outrigger span front and rear when fully dressed?

Just bought a 175 ton meter knuckleboom. I don't have very many photos yet. Hey Scholartree, I hope things are still going well! sinko, most knucklebooms have a decent percentage of weight resting on the tires of the truck (that's why sometimes i can get by w/o pads on the rear outriggers) Jamin, you could pick up a lot just hanging out here sometime. I'd much rather hang out at your place/God's country!

Holy SMOKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

175 metric ton!

Mike, you're killin' me!

I wanna see.

actually I WANNA OWN!

I might get to run a 150 metric ton Palfinger this winter.

So, did you stay with Volvo for the truck?

Did you have to go with a two steering axle front?

Probably two drive axles and one or two lift axles?

Here's a volvo with palfinger 150 metric ton, with two steering axles in the front.
