Minnesota Tree Climbing

I missed the pics earlier. After looking at them I know that I can still pull up the smell of the snowbanks melting on a day like that. There are some smells that will never get out of the 'Snow Belt'....mmmm! Springtime!

I can do a couple hours on Saturday, got a tree picked out? Got my eye on a monster Cottonwood but still waiting for the owner to respond.

Climbing this weekend (Sat-Sun). May rain on Saturday. Anyway, we've been getting kicked out of parks lately. Let's pick a secluded spot for the next few outings. Call me or PM if you are interested. I'm thinking St. Paul down by the river.

Taylor, I give you a call tomorrow after work and see where you guys are at, I wont be far from Jims house and should be done early afternoon, so don't start to early:)

Shoreline cleanup on the river in Ramsey, one of those jobs you want to homeowner home to make the decisions on what to trim and what to remove.
Talk to you Sunday!

You guys should come out my way, some big sugar maples to climb in Elm Creek Park Reserve, 5000 acres and off the beaten path.

I was told a little known fact by a long time Dayton resident, Elm Creek Park was started to protect an old growth Maple Forest. He showed me the area roughly, always wanted to safari into that woods to see what could be found.

Jimmy lets do it some Saturday morn

The sugar bush is awesome, no under brush, almost like walking through a city park. Dave took me to one spot and I'd be up for checking out another.

Let's plan something... any takers?

Prolly have to stuff gear in backpacks. It's a little hike in.

When? Isn't it Sunday morning right now? and raining? I'd love a little hike in the woods, let's make it happen, how about 5/1 or 5/2?
