Meal Replacement

[ QUOTE ]
I am very interested in finding out the best way to go about gaining "good" weight and keep it on. I am 6'1", 165 pounds. I would like to be at 180-185.

Ha! I wonder if we look alike in the face, too. You pretty much described me, except that I might be 170 now, and my legs are maybe a little skinnier than they were 25 years ago. I find it's too much work to gain weight and keep it so I've just learned to accept the way I look. If a person can't have the perfect build it's got to be better to be a little thin than a little thick :)

Hey glens,

I feel the same way. You do have a VERY good point there. I am happy being a little under than over, so I guess I just need to find the best way to keep the fire going during the day. I do more climbing than anything plus full time groundman after all that so everything I put in me goes through like a lit match in a gas tank.

hey mark i thought you were a jersey guy?? whats wrong with pork roll egg and cheese on a hard roll w/ salt pepper and ketchup??

Drop the salt and now you're talking! I would live on it if it was good for you. Though, funny to say, at the deli we go to in the morning a pork roll egg and cheese sandwhich is $3.50, and a 4 egg and cheese sandwhich is $3.25. Which is the smarter buy? /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I sometimes get 1 slice of PR on the sandwhich as a "Friday Treat". /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think Tom tried some when he was visiting?

I just started with Met-Rx with the intent on better recovery from my surgery. I see there is a little less protein than Myoplex But to start its a little cheaper. How are you guys doing with your supplements. Do you just do 1 per day. I wasnt looking to replace any meals just give some extra to my body.

From my doctor to you.

When you take in sugars make sure you have some protain in your meal. Helps with the breakdown and metabolism reactions. As for supplements, keep them to a minimum. Try to get what you need from the choices you make on the food you select to eat. As my father use to say "you are what you eat". But my brother corrected that to be "you are what you don't poop out."

I wish I was still thin. But then BEER will add weight you your frame.
