Mb vs. Nt onyx

I've got several years in both. To me the monkey beaver fixed the short comings of the onyx. The onyx was great for everything but standing in hooks for hours with a big saw on the belt. It gave me a weird pressure point in my right hip. Suspenders might have helped or fixed it but I couldn't get used to them.

The bigger, padded back pad of the MB is a Cadillac when on hooks all day. And as with any new tribe it's like sitting in a hammock.
The gear storage is kinda odd but I'm glad I didn't let that deter me. Also with an adjustable bridge it's about the easiest saddle to take on or off since the old 4-D's.

I hated the Cobra buckle on the waist of my old TM, from 2014 I think. After everything was thoroughly broken in, it was still difficult to get it tight enough and it would loosen a little.

I took the buckle off and sewed on a different one from Singing Rock. Much better.

Still got that old TM, but my go-to saddle now is the Buckingham Ergovation. Absolutely love it.
What buckles did you use as i would certainly like to mod my TM as well.

These?

@MikePowers321 I took the buckle off a Singing Rock adjustable foot loop. In hindsight, I should’ve asked around friends and family and found someone with a machine to sew it on. My hand sewing is pretty ugly.

Gotcha, funny enough I have that same footloop in a toolbox somewhere and never used it before. I may try to find a rated buckle but how has this one worked for you? Any slipping? How easy is it to adjust..?
