master vs. master deluxe

I own the Master's Deluxe and I can tell you right now, it is a far better saddle than the Master's oringal. I haven't climbed in the oringal, but all the padding, and everything else just makes it a better saddle in my opnion. If you have the $$$$ to get the deluxe, than get the deluxe. Hope this helps.

I can't decide. The Master Deluxe is more comfortable, but it takes noticeably longer to put on, which was annoying at first. I love it now, and I hooked up a sliding bridge on the two lowest attachment points.

Yeah! I forgot about that aspect, but yeah... it's nice to not have that metal D there, and the loop is still big enough to fit a rope snap to without any difficulty. I set mine up with a bridge, and I use the attachment points for versatility with my lanyard or when double crotching. ...usually just with my lanyard though.

I have both and like both. I get a better fit with the classic but the padding of deluxe is more comfortable. The buckles of the deluxe are hard to get secured sometimes so I am always triple checking them. I can go either way on the center D being metal or not. I think the extra $40 for the deluxe is worth it if you like the saddle and it fits you well. If you can try them both on first.

Get the deluxe and putabridge on the bottom att. points. Also if do not have a butt get the suspenders. When I put mine onmy saddle it went from a nice rig to man this saddle rocks. Nothing worse than yanking up a saddle all day

I've run the master pro since 2003. It is very much like the master deluxe but the Deluxe is a much more comfortable/improved version.

Still, it is heavier than some of the other bridged systems,
