We're coming up on the 4 year anniversary...but, that is NOT the right word...of John's death.
I was trying to think of my favorite song..and sure couldn't . At one time in my life I could karaoke w/John's first three albums, including the scratch/pops from my vinyl.

What I chose as my favorite John Prine song is the first song on his first album. Its the gate keeper to the finest wordsmith I know.
Illegal Smile is NOT a song about pot...John claimed...nudge nudge...wink wink... it doesn't matter
Any particular favs out there. Include stories. Afterall, going to a JP concert was half for the music which usually was a singalong and half the stories that John told.
My story...been shared before. I was introduced to Prine by my team mate on the side horse at Robbinsdale Sr High...look who else worked side horse!
