Losing coolant in my dt466e

Checked the drain plug. No water. Ran it for a while and can't see a drip. I lost about half a gallon over 150 highway miles. Any suggestions?

If you are loosing coolant due to a head gasket, you should have more pressure then normal in your degas bottle. Hook up a pressure gauge to a coolant line near the degas, route the hose to the cab so you can see it during operation... see if it reaches the cap's venting psi. Usually marked on the cap, or manufacturer can tell you. Some trucks normal operating psi is well under 10psi some times near 3-4psi...the caps usually vent 15-18psi iirc. Our 6.0 sends the needle right to 18psi, only because the head is cracked and it leaks fuel into the coolant.

Our dt466e leaked coolant only when it was shut down after driving, found a few loose hose clamps.

Ive heard they switched to rubber o ring type cylinder head gaskets...those and blown turbos are the downfall of the 466e...unfortunate cuz the 466s were bullet proof.
