looking for big saw

looking for saw which can handle a 3ft or larger bar. trying for $800 or less. 044 magnum or anything of the sort or bigger

An 044 is not that big of a saw, and will struggle to pull a 36" chain.

Have you tried craigsnationwide? I did a quick search and didn't see much for an 066 but found the following on an 088 and a 395 (no idea where Corvallis is). For what it's worth I run a 20 on my 75 cc husky and couldn't imagine trying to pull a 36 with it (jump to 3120 for that situation). good luck

I've run a 36 on my 441 with a 7 tooth rim. It does good BUT if it was gonna be a regular thing forget it. Someone also told me recently that a saw powerhead rating for a bar is only partly based on the HP. The other factor is the size of the oil pump. The smaller saws don't have a big enuff pump to keep a 36" bar lubed up right.

Corvallis could also be the one in Warshington state

I have a 385xp it needs a little work. I bought it from a tree dog in NE for 550. If you are not in a hurry I will take it too the shop and have it gone thru since I never used it. It is in great condition. I will take 500 for it. it has a 25" bar on it.
