Looking Durable Pants

Seems like i am always out my jeans in no time. With everything else, there is always something to spend $ on. What are you guys wearing? I tried wwearing shorts, once, had to come down with bloody knees. Funny

Arborwear tech pants can be dragged through the worst tree job ever again and again, and they defy conventional pant wisdom. They are durable as all get-out, and relatively stain and fray resistant as well.

1 pair of tech pants = 20 pairs of jeans.

What ever my wife buys me it ends up as work clothes. I try to look clean and professional at every job. At least i dont want to look like i did this weekend after grinding stumps.

x10. Undisputable fact.

But there's no way to look presentable after stump grinding anyway IMO.

Dickies!!! Inexpensive and mine have lasted 2 years and counting! Very comfortable. They are company issued but i will be buying them from now on!

x2!!

I thought I was saving money buy buying Dickies from Walmart. Heavy, stay soaking wet, and fall of my waist by the end of the day.

Arborwear tech pants now, freaking love them. Light, durable, dry fast, great pockets.

Arborwear were the best I had owned but up here they are awfully expensive. So owning only a couple of pairs was the best I could swing.

For the same money I swapped over to 6 pairs of Dickies. As mentioned their cut makes them a little slippery around the waist without a belt or braces both of which I use at one time or another. They also hold water pretty good so on a sweaty or rainy day they can get a bit heavy.

Otherwise they have done me well for the past 3 seasons. If I stumble upon a good AW deal I'll likely take them but for color continuity (uniforms) I'll stick with the Dickies for regular purchases.

WFIW a buddy swore by his Carhartt's and kept trashing them. He switched to Arborwear and has never looked back. Also my first Arborwear pants (6 or 7 years old) after being worn by me for 3 years and 3-4 by my boy finally had to be retired recently.

A-wear is coming out with new Stretch techs in March, they will still carry the ones with the cordura knee, but will also have some without.

those are the ones I'm interested in, I'm thinking the other ones are hot.

sip progress pants. one pair i wear them everyday and wash them every week they still look new and i have had them since the internationals in chicago. i'm going to buy a new pair for the up coming season. i used to swear by the blue and dark brown dickies. i still wear the dickies when i know for a fact i'm going to get nasty, ie pine removals or pruning, equipment maintenance.... for everything else i keep the progress pants on

one more thing i love about the progress pant as opposed to the dickies; i don't get chips in my shoes or embedded in my sock. that is probably the best feature, well that and the zip pockets and the durability. hell i just love the pant and i was a sceptic at first.

I started with the regular cotton arborwear pants; still have two pair that almost never get worn.

What I wear most are one pair of Arborwear Stretch Techs and
five pair of the Regular Arborwear Tech pants. Of those five, two have a letter "D" marked on the label, for dress wear (looking good), and the others have a "W" for work pants.
Problem is, after doing laundry I get them mixed up, they clean up that well.

I really like the 5-11 tech pants. Super comfortable, durable, dry quick, and I can wear them out to dinner! I think they are cheaper than the arborwear tech pants which is why I tried them and I love them.
