Too true. It's sometimes demanding on the bod to get a work position to make a decent cut aloft with a pole saw or pole pruner. Hell of a core workout though! I don't mind. Earns me an extra beer now and then. Won't pretend all my cuts are stellar but I do try.
I hate it when lazy climbers drop these tools out of trees rather than carry them out or lower them down. On the Silky the holes for the pins on the aluminum sections get all jammed up and then good luck extending the pole again.
