Long lanyard management ...have I over thought things?

They beefed up the links on the new ones, like the ZZ, because they were the same links, but they hadn't actually had any problem with the Zillon that I know of.
The new (v3) ZZ and Zillon beefier links cured the problem.

I have more lanyards than I could possibly even use in a cartoon drawing. My long ones stay on the ground till I need em.

Funny how that lanyard collection grows. The only good thing about it is that when you're digging to the bottom of a gear box looking for something else, you get that surprise treat.

"Hey, I forgot I had this! Think I'll use it today."

At my age and memory condition, every day is like Xmas morning.

Yes, a bit of MST in action. What? What is MST? I decided to call it a Matamorph Sleeve due to the initial inspiritation origin.
This is 5/16 Beeline cover on a 7.5mm cord. The bury is 6" and...
Thanks for the dues Brocky, but I only 'invented sliced bread'! Whoopie slings have been around a while now, I just made the connection! :aburrido:

Concerning lanyard management. I'm loving these scuba clips! I've got two clipped on each side to manage my asymmetrical double-ended lanyard. Small and light enough to not get in the way yet easy enough to find unsighted. For now they seem pretty tough, but even if I do smash a few to pieces they're cheap enough not to make me grind my teeth. Ordered a bag of twenty... haven't replaced one yet!

Probably helps the zillions track record that no one was so pumped with its smoothness that they were bombin out of trees with it, being a lanyard adjuster.
It does look to me like the sweetest adjuster out there

Don't know why I've never browsed the scuba offerings, I see a few crossover tools, these clips do look built for a long lanyard -

You might wanna file a patent this time :D

You mean for the SpearShot©®*?

* Legal notice: The SpearShot is a copyrighted, patented, registered trademark of FreeFallin Inc. a no liability company. This patent includes any object propelled while attached to a string, rope, or cable, including but not limited to line setting devices, crane balls, and toy paddle balls.

Hahaha! I think I owe you cash!

...However, I am also independently working on a new concept in line placement, incorporating a very similar, (yet completely different) technology to the SpearShot©®*

I call it the "TREE-POON" (patent pending)

See you in court. :envidioso

Ha, now my lawyer and your lawyer will need to do lunch at a resort somewhere...

Oh, yeah... love the Trango Cinch, too... but the Zillon is hands down my favorite. When tax refund comes, going to buy another one as soon as somebody puts them on sale, again. Somebody is always having a 15% or 20% off all Petzl gear sale. Dealer incentive thing, gets sales moving during slumps. Love it, when I happen to have money, but it's a head banger when Murphy empties out First National of Billfold because one of the stupid trucks decided to have two flat tires while sitting in the driveway. I'm still shaking my head on that one. Near as I can tell, the sidewalls gave out, no punctures or anything. And, of course, the tires I got for the other truck for $100 a pop (mounted) are now $165 each, mounted. From the same dealer. Grrrr.....

I think Tree-Poon is just a euphamism for a knothole in a soft pine.
Don't make fun of the name! It has precident! ...

This ancient Chinese tapestry found under a pile of shit in a cave has been dated back to the 'Tang Dynasty' somewhere between the year 680 to 750 AD. It depicts a first & second climber instructing their groundies which branch to isolate with the jade throw-gem. In those days prisoners were used as groundies, so notice the stick held at the ready to whip their faces when they loop it around a branch. Records show that the name of the ballistic implement shown in the image was the "Tang-poon"...

...so stop making fun please.

Not to be confused with Pootie Tang which is also different, and much funnier.
