Log Spreader?

Hopefully the guy won't delete his post before yall get the chance to see this.

I bought this 10 years ago thinking I would have to have it, well I was wrong it is still brand new never been out of the drawer, so it's your turn to own this handy piece of woodworking tools. You drive this into the end of a board to spread it , so as to not bind the blade. Give me a call we can work something out. search my phone # as it's typed to see more interesting things

That's a deluxe adjustable log spreader. Been trying to find one of those for years, they don't make them anymore. Looks like it's brand new. They're used for log/timber framing.

I hear they caused some accidents and that's why they quit making them. The adjustable one is a little safer though.
