You're right those would work well for a friction saver setup.

Where did you see a price? How much was it? Come on, people are buying $500 saddles these days you know somebody will buy it.

I own three of them. Many, many uses. One is dedicated as the large ring of a ring/ring friction saver. This noticeably reduces friction in a very light and compact pakage. Another is used with a small stitched sling, and the third goes wherever I need it.
