Link pulley or pulley saver?

I've got the original rope guide before they used webbing and I'm thinking of adding a ART pulley to the cam on the rope guide but I've heard good things about the pulleysaver. Any benefits to the ropeguide over the pulley saver or vice a versa?

I always had trouble with the rope guide (same generation as you are using) getting stuck after it released from the branch union and was coming down through the canopy. The pulley saver seems to get stuck less.

Most of the time I tie it to an ascent line or just go and retrieve then natural crotch to the ground these days, especially Fridays. Sh#t always get stuck on Fridays!

There you go, thanks for the input Tony. I was beginning to wonder if I was in the right forum, I guess you gotta be from Maui to get all the responses

Generally I leave a bit of space in the loop when attaching, but when I have to choke it up tight it releases easier than the rope guide did. Taylor is right it is more versatile and, in my judgement, durable as it bounces down through the tree.

Sp can give the prussic a hard time. I switch to a two ring friction device on sappy trees.
