Anyone use one of these. I tried it and thought the motor was very weak and sent it back. Sherrill Tree was awesome in backing up their product and sent me another. This one seemed to have some problems too so I started to look into it. The housing would rub so I started modifications and opened the top so that I could use it mid-line. Added a curly coat hanger for a guide.
I have some older throw line (about 170') with a few knots that I was able to put in a 16 oz water bottle.
So far I like it now.
The curly guide was formed from a coat hanger and taped to the handle with a little bend to keep it from moving.

I played with on a couple years ago, and liked how fast it put the line away and that you could put it into a small bottle (like you did). But like you said the end like use limited how much I used it. I like your mods though. Looks like it would work much better now.

looks like you fixed the bugs alright. It needed it.

Now there was a hand crank model for bow fishing that did a damn good job of stuffing line in mug or bottle.

I wonder why it passed.
